Title: Tonight and the Rest of My Life

Spoilers: Phase One
The only thing that she was able to focus on was the feeling of Vaughn's lips on
hers. He took her breath away. Everything in her wanted this kiss to never end. His breath became hers and hers his. After
all this time, all of her dreams were finally coming true. She put everything that she was feeling into the kiss, wanting
to back him up against the wall and take what she wanted. The only thing that stopped her was that she didn't want him to
be tainted by this building.
She pulled back, sighing. Looking up at him, she reached for his hand, wanting to be reassured.
"Is it really over?"
Vaughn placed a kiss on the top of her head and wrapped his arms around her. She leaned into the
embrace, eager to make up for all the times they had never been able to touch. He slowly turned her, wrapping his arm around
her shoulders as they left behind the ruins of Credit Dauphine.
They had agreed to go back to Vaughn's
place, intending to talk things over. As soon as the door opened, Sydney attacked Vaughn, taking him by surprise. She held
on to his gun holster while kissing him senseless. She pulled back, smiling. "You don't know how long I've waited to do that."
laughed. "Syd, just let me take care of Donovan and we'll talk."
Sydney nodded as she settled on the couch. She took
in the interior of his place, studying every aspect. The walls were a creamy beige color, setting off the color of the bookcases
and end tables to perfection. He obviously had an eye for detail.
She stood, wandering over to the bookcase to see
what he had. She was surprised to see a wide selection of works, from Shakespeare to books that listed all sorts of trivial
information. She picked up one book and laughed when she saw the title. "101 Yo-Yo Jokes" Weiss? No doubt. She thumbed through
it, laughing as the jokes got dumber and dumber.
She returned the book to it's place on the shelf and turned back to
the couch, stopping when she saw Vaughn watching her. Blushing she asked, "How long were you there?"
her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Long enough to see you make yourself at home." He leaned down to kiss her nose.
"Did you want anything to eat? It's been a long day."
Sydney snuggled close, enjoying this moment, savoring the fact
that she was in Michael Vaughn's home in his arms. A thought crossed her mind and she glanced up at him. "So, do you have
any chocolate mousse?" Sliding her finger around the collar of his shirt, she winked at him making him swallow nervously.
mousse?" He looked down and she fought the laughter that welled up inside of her. It was so fun to watch him get all nervous
around her. She lightly placed her hands on his jawline as she smiled up at him.
"Yes, mousse. It could be fun." She
laughed as he started to blush. "Actually, I have a better idea." She leaned forward, nipping his earlobe. "How about you
give me the grand tour?" She could feel the shudder run through his body and she smiled in satisfaction.
sure?" He looked nervous and she couldn't blame him. This was going to be a big step for the both of them.
I've never been more sure." She moved her hands to cup his face, gently kissing him. He pulled her closer, deepening the kiss.
His hands roamed along her body as his tongue lightly traced her own. She moaned against his mouth as she closed her eyes,
savouring every moment of the kiss.
He slowly pulled away, gently raising her hand and placing a kiss on her palm.
"Let's start that grand tour." He held her close as they approached the bedroom. She turned to face him, beginning to speak,
but he placed his finger across her lips. He lightly traced her lower lip with his thumb moving across her cheek bone. She
closed her eyes as his hands explored her face.
His hands traveled lower toying with the hem of her black turtleneck.
The shirt was slowly pushed upwards as his fingers teased every inch of skin that was exposed. She was content at the moment
to let him undress her, enjoying the feeling of his hands on her body.
His hands stilled on her stomach and she knew
that he had found her scar. She opened her eyes and was surprised to see the pain in his gaze. "Vaughn?"
happened?" He lightly ran his thumb over the spot and kneeled to kiss it. She sighed, not able to form words, much less thoughts
at the moment.
"Vaughn, it was from a long time ago. It's nothing serious." She lifted her hand and slowly ran it
through his hair. He kissed the spot once more and rose, taking the turtleneck off of her in one fluid motion. She blushed
when he noticed what she was wearing beneath the turtleneck.
"Syd, I take it you like the black one?" His hands moved
to unzip her pants. "So do I get to see the whole ensemble?" Her pants were soon pushed down and he stepped back, looking
at her appreciatively. "I do like the black a lot more than the red." He grinned mischeiveously, "Do you still have the whip?"
face turned bright red and she laughed nervously. "I can't believe I had to do that."
Vaughn smiled at her. "Well,
any time you feel like doing it for me, I know I'll appreciate the outfits." She lightly smacked his shoulder and he laughed.
"I would! You look amazing like this."
Sydney stuck her tongue out. "Liar, I look like hell."
"Syd, you couldn't
look better at this moment unless you were naked." He winked at her and quietly whispered, "Voulez vous couchez avec moi,
Sydney laughed, settling down on the bed. "That was just wrong. Totally wrong. But I love you anyway."
laughed. "So does that mean no?" He sat next to her and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. His fingers lingered on her
neck and she turned to face him.
"Vaughn, I could never say no to you." Her hands reached for the hem of his black
turtleneck and gently removed it. She ran her nails along his chest, exploring every part of him. She could feel the rise
and fall of his chest as he breathed, watching as it grew shallow and laboured. She smiled knowing she was affecting him just
as much as he was affecting her.
She pushed him back against the bed, straddling him. Leaning down, she placed kisses
along his face and trailed them across his chest and lower towards his stomach. Her fingers slowly removed his belt and unzipped
his pants. Sitting up, she raised his hips and removed the rest of his clothing. Her fingers lingered against his skin as
she leaned down and kissed his thigh.
She kissed her way back up his body and met his mouth in a slow kiss. His hands
wound through her hair, holding her close. She sighed against his mouth as his hands moved to her back, slowly rubbing it.
He rolled them over so that he was on top and removed the black lingerie. He kissed every inch of skin that was revealed until
she couldn't stand the torture any more. She wrapped her legs around his waist and rolled him over.
Sydney braced her
arms against his chest and stared down at him. Her hair fell around her face and he reached up to brush it behind her ear.
She slowly lowered herself onto him, moaning as the sensations overwhelmed her. She stilled, adjusting to the feeling of Vaughn
inside of her, before rocking her hips.
She tightened her muscles around him, making him groan. He placed his hands
on her hips as he thrust into her. She leaned forward, gripping his shoulders as her breath caught in her throat. Vaughn thrust
into her harder and she closed her eyes, forcing herself to breathe.
She arched her back as his thrusts began to quicken.
Her body began to shudder as she reached her climax. Vaughn continued to thrust inside of her and she closed her eyes as the
sensations overwhelmed her. She collapsed on top of him as he reached his own climax, clinging to him, not wanting the moment
Vaughn's hands moved to stroke her hair as she concentrated on listening to his heartbeat. She smiled as his
hands began to wander lower. She turned to face him, trying not to laugh. "Again?"
Vaughn rolled her over and pinned
her to the bed. "I guess I can't get enough of you." He kissed along her neck, nipping and licking as he explored. His hands
caressed her skin, lingering on her curves as he tasted every inch of skin he could find. She cried out as he began to kiss
lower and lower, teasing her with his tongue and teeth.
He moved back up, framing her face between his hands as he
kissed her deeply. She wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him tightly as he laid on top of her. She wrapped her legs
around his waist, wanting him inside of her again.
He thrust into her and she arched her back, wanting him to feel
more of him inside of her. She could feel him groan as he buried his face in her neck. His thrusts became faster and she gripped
his shoulders, digging her nails into his skin. They collapsed together, panting and exhausted.
Vaughn moved onto
his side and wrapped his arms around her, making her sigh in contentment. She leaned against his chest, slowly tracing the
lines and muscles. "Vaughn?" Sydney nervously waited for his response.
He kissed her cheek, whispering, "Yes?"
looked into his eyes. "This is real isn't it? This isn't just a dream?"
He raised his hand to caress her cheek.
He held her closer. "It's as real as you want it to be. It's love, Sydney. I do love you, and that will always be real." She
felt the tears well up in her eyes and she buried her head in the crook of his arm. He turned her head to face his, kissing
away the tears. "I love you Syd. Nothing will ever change that."
He gently stroked her hair and she closed her eyes,
the events of the day finally catching up with her. He placed one last kiss on her forehead and she snuggled close, closer
than she thougth possible. For the first time in a long time in what felt like years, the world around her stilled.
sun streamed in through the windows, shining down on her face. Sydney woke, stretching her arms above her head and curling
her toes. She sat up, looking around. This was Vaughn's room, but there was no sign of Vaughn. She pulled the sheet closer
around her, not sure what to do.
He needed to be there. She needed to have him beside her, told hold her, to just
be. She could feel the panic and it wasn't a nice feeling. Last night was real. She was sure of that. A part of her wanted
to find Vaughn but the other part of her couldn't bear to have her heart shattered. Had everything been a dream?
heard a door slowly open and creak shut. Vaughn's voice could clearly be heard. She placed her head in her hands and sighed
in relief. He was laughing at Donovan. How could she forget about the dog. He had taken the dog outside. She fell back onto
the pillow and stared at the ceiling.
Vaughn entered the room and slowly closed the door behind him. He noticed that
she was awake and approached the bed. "Morning beautiful." His smile dissapeared and he enveloped her in a hug. "Syd, I'm
sorry, I didn't want you to have to wake up alone."
She wiped away a tear and sniffled, still slightly overwhelmed.
"I'm just overreacting. My first instinct is always to jump to the wrong conclusion." She held him tightly. "I was just so
scared that it was a dream."
Vaughn kissed the top of her head. "Syd, it's okay. I understand." He picked her up in
his arms, blanket and all and carried her over to the window. "Look outside, what do you see?"
She leaned against his
chest, a smile forming on her face as she looked out the window. "There's a rainbow."
Vaughn smiled at her. "And do
you know what the meaning of a rainbow is?" Sydney shook her head and Vaughn continued. "A rainbow signifies the end of all
your troubles followed by great happiness." He gently placed her on the ground and she leaned back, resting completely in
his arms. They stood like that for what seemed like hours. Content to just be.
