     Dr. William H. Coulter is a graduate of the University of Michigan, receiving his medical degree in 1961.  He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Iowa in 1966.  He has practiced ophthalmology in Santa Barbara for over thirty years and has raised his family here.

     No stranger to "high-tec", Dr. Coulter served as Captain and Director of the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, and has utilized the most modern techniques for ocular surgery available throughout his career.  He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member in good standing with the Santa Barbara County Medical Society and the California Medical Association.

   He has donated his services in Africa and South America, performing surgeries there for the betterment of the third-world and is a founding member of Surgical Eye Expeditions International.

     Dr. Coulter's years of experience and long term presence in the community, combined with new advanced methods of refractive surgery, results in an accomplished surgeon providing unsurpassed levels of care.

Eric W. Coulter, M.D.

     Dr. Eric W. Coulter is a fourth generation medical doctor, completing his education at the United States Naval Academy, University of California at Berkeley and Michigan State University.  He finished his internship in internal medicine through the University of California at Los Angeles in 1995 and his ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Georgia in 1998.

     He is a licensed physician and surgeon in California and Georgia and is a board eligible and active member with the American Academy of Ophthalmology.  He is a member in good standing with the California Medical Association, Santa Barbara County Medical Society.  He has also received the "physicians recognition award" for excellence in education with the American Medical Association and is a member of Surgical Eye Expeditions International.

     Dr. Coulter has been trained in the newest techniques of refractive surgery, including RK/AK, PRK and LASIK/C-Lasik in Georgia, Texas and California with S.G. Siade, M.D., Les T. Norden, M.D., and J. T. Dean, M.D.

     Dr. coulter was raised in Santa Barbara and has returned to this home town with these techniques to carry on a tradition of excellence in ophthalmology.
