| I have been actively employed as a graphic designer since 1966. During that period I have produced a variety of visuals for the medical, space, energy, advertising, and real estate industries. In 1982, I left a steady job with a major corporation and became self-employed as a free-lance artist/designer. |
The Buffalo Skulls When I first started playing with ideas and had just begun to develop my web site, I was working on a design concept for a western-based business. My concept included
a buffalo skull as a part of other Because I liked the resulting image, I determined to utilize it as my new logo design.

Regarding Clients...1)The worst client I ever had was wonderful! 2)A satisfied client is the best advertisement that money can't buy. 3)The bad taste of an inferior job lingers long after the sweet smell of a low price is forgotten. 4)Most clients don't understand what it takes to create excellent visual communications but they all expect the best job for the least cost. Regarding Computers... 1)The computer has become a great aid to the communications industry making the bad designer mediocre; the mediocre designer good; the good designer outstanding; and the outstanding designer almost Godlike. 2)There sure are a lot of mediocre artists with computers. Regarding Web Pages... 1)Pulsating, revolving and throbbing gifs so common on many inferior web pages drive me crazy. If the site is not well designed to begin with, all the gadgetry in the world won't save it. 2)A well designed web site requires a lot of work and effort be careful of "bargain" costs you usually get just what you pay for. 3)If your product or business is of any value and you believe in advertising don't scrimp on your web presence. | |
