Puppet making can be an extremely creative and rewarding process. Depending on the demands of the puppet, articulation and moment can be very complex. The puppets I've created have all been hand operated.
These nasty little buggers were done for
a video shoot based on Poe's short story The Black Cat. They were created
to double for a live feline. This is the before and after the cat is brutally
attacked. To my disappointment the video was never completed.
This odd couple were a pair of small hand
puppets seen here without their capes. The one to the right had a movable
mouth, the one to the left could only move his head up and down.
This costume/puppet is one of my favorite
creations. He stands over 7 feet tall and his
head and hands are cast in rubber latex.
He's very popular for openings as well as
haunted houses. I have several characters
to choose from as well as custom designs. (See Halloween section)
This slimy fellow was given birth for
a video entitled It's In The Bag. He was over two feet long and was hand
operated. He had a movable jaw, two hand pumps- one for saliva the other
for blood and eyes that glowed in the dark. He also had a tail attachment
for wider shots.
