I've been trying to post but Blogger has been down. %*#$.
I'm doing well. My eating isn't where I'd like it to be yet, but it's so much better than it was. I'm incorporating more veggies and fruit in. I'm watching my portions. My one sticky area is that I haven't been sleeping at night, and then I get hungry around midnight. I find myself having tea and gingersnaps.
I've been working out. I haven't put a lot of pressure on myself to work out every day. I told myself I'd do 30 minutes of something every other day. So far, I'm able to stick to that. I'm doing Tae Bo, Pilates, Yoga, and weight training. The Pilates and Yoga are making a big difference. I'm feeling muscles work that I didn't even know I had.
I've also taken pressure off myself in terms of the scale. My "resolution" wasn't to lose a certain number of pounds. It was just to live a more healthy life this year. So, I haven't been on the scale once yet. And I don't plan to be on it anytime soon.
So far, I feel better.Working out hopefully will become a habit for me so that I don't even really need to think about it. I'll just do it.

I think if they (the ubiquitous they) sold health food in vending machines, I'd be a happier woman. I just had a coke and a sticky bun for breakfast - only because I was in a rush to leave the house and I have to eat in the morning to take my meds. The gas station, however, and there are none on the way to work for me, does sell fresh fruit. I'd be even happier if they didn't sell this fruit next to donuts. It's not me, you see, it's the world.

Hello! I've been semi-good. I've been good for me, at least. I actually jogged yesterday. Yes, jogged. It's been several months since I did that.
I went to the Town Lake trail, intending to walk three miles while Chris rode his bike. I ended up jogging about 3/4 of a mile and walking the rest. Three quarters of a mile seems like just a tiny bit when I compare it with the four miles I was running regularly about three years ago. But it's a good start for my new year, and my legs have that good kind of ache today, the kind of ache that makes me want to run some more.
It's been so long that I can't remember, so somebody who's in shape tell me: You get more energy from working out, right? I mean, I know that's the party line, but is it really true? Because lately I've been having trouble staying awake--at work, at home, while driving. If I keep up my workouts for a few weeks, that problem might go away? Somebody help. I just got to work and I need a nap.
