It's been four months now since we lost our dear friend Daisy. But now, once more, the pitter patter of little doggy feet
can be heard around the old homestead. This is not something we were planning, but sometimes events just sort of carry you
along and in the end you wonder how it could have been any different. Nicky was a stray who caught the attention of a friend
of Becky's last weekend at the laundromat. Having five dogs herself, she briefly wracked her brain before she recalled our
canine-free condition and suggested that we might like to have a look. ("A look" as many of you know is pretty much the kiss
of death. And so the rest, as they say, is history.) We have notified the various animal control agencies locally in attempt
to locate the owner, but have come up blank.
So now we have a Nicky, or is it Niki? We don't really know for sure yet. He's about a year old, we think. A Shih Tzu influenced
mutt. Pretty well housebroken. Extremely friendly. An avid ballplayer. Our new best friend. Hope you'll all get a chance to
meet him soon.
If life hands you lemons, you make lemonade, right? Well, let me just say, life has been very good to us in the lemons
department. So much so, that we have amassed a rather significant surplus of lemonade at the moment. Yes, we are truly blessed.
And while we're all very fond of lemonade and all that, after a while… Anyway, if anyone's got a hankering for some lemonade,
we've got you covered!

And just for the record, all words and pictures, except as noted, are mine and mine alone. I take full responsibility
for them (unless, of course, legal action is threatened).
Willie, here, is both the mascot and the arbiter of good taste for this site... So, as you might
expect, people will be offended. My apologies.
