Fly the flag
As many of you are aware, flying the flag upside down is a signal of distress. And I can think of no greater cause for
distress in this nation than the events of November 2, 2004. The ship of state is sinking and someone's got to send out the
alarm. Here's my proposal. It's a small thing, little more than a show of solidarity among like-thinking individuals, but
it's something. If you have one of those ubiquitous cling-on flags in your car window and you feel that America is in trouble,
turn it upside down and tell the world how you feel. You might just feel a little better. Probably nobody will notice - although,
if they do, they'll turn your car over and set it aflame - but I'll notice, and maybe, just maybe
we can start something here.

And just for the record, all words and pictures, except as noted, are mine and mine alone. I take full responsibility
for them (unless, of course, legal action is threatened).
Willie, here, is both the mascot and the arbiter of good taste for this site... So, as you might
expect, people will be offended. My apologies.
