Excuse me, but you seem to have stumbled into my little corner of the World Wide Web. Please wipe your feet.
Thank you.

Hatches battened
We're apparently in for a bit of heavy weather over the next day or so. A major "snow event" as the forecasters are fond
of saying. The forecasters are practically soiling themselves, they're so excited. We haven't had a significant snowfall in
a few years, darn the luck. Cute little Paul Douglas claims to have actually gasped when he saw the computer models. And when
weathermen gasp, it can only mean one thing: probably nothing. But just in case, I mowed the lawn today (read mulched the
lawn - see below) and battened down the hatches (i.e., put away the hose). So I think we're ready.
Nothing much has happened yet. Fortunately, we're ready for that too.
Driving to work today. 7:00 a.m. Gray, drizzly morning. Looked off to the West and there was a rainbow!
Of course, being color blind, it could have been just about anything, I suppose. But I'm sticking to my story. I don't believe
I've ever seen a rainbow before in an otherwise completely overcast sky... and in November! It's probably
an omen. Unfortunately, I don't know whether to buy lottery tickets, or just... DUCK!!! I welcome
your suggestions.

expect, people will be offended. My apologies.
