Did I mention that I’ve been busy? Wish I could say that I’ve been busy working for world peace, writing the great American
novel or sheltering the homeless. Unfortunately, I’ve mostly been working to ensure that our family doesn’t join the
ranks
of the homeless. That and all of the countless mundane, day-to-day tasks that drive you crazy because you invest so much time
in the doing and ultimately feel that you’ve accomplished nothing.
Not to say that it’s all been tedium and drudgery. We all got up to
the lake last weekend and it
was a perfect summer weekend (which is to say,
way too short). I had an opportunity to experiment a bit with my wind
organ. Not too much wind, sadly, but the pipes gave out the occasional toot or moan when the wind gusted, so I’m encouraged.
This week one of my projects is downing a two-liter bottle of Sierra Mist. I’m not all that fond of it, but the bottle is
perfect (i.e. smooth-surfaced) and I don’t have one that large yet. I’m hoping for a sort of basso voice. We’ll see.
For you treasure hunters, latest intelligence suggests that the gnome hasn’t moved, but stay tuned. I plan to be up for
(hopefully) a long weekend over Bluegill Festival. And on a Bluegill Festival weekend anything can happen.
