Excuse me, but you seem to have stumbled into my little corner of the World Wide Web. Please wipe your feet.
Thank you.

Is it bigger than a breadbox?
Go play 20 Questions. I've only tried it once so far (a very busy server today due to a mention on a popular site) and perhaps I was too easy
on it, but it guessed correctly. Score one for the A.I.
Is it just me, or does it seem that just about every major news event in recent memory has been captured on some sort
of video or surveillance camera? Often as it’s happening and, frequently, not just once, but repeatedly and from different
perspectives. Does this bother you? Do you ever wonder how many times your image has been recorded in the past week in the
pursuit of your daily activities? When did all this start to happen? What does it all mean? I’m not paranoid, but it makes
me wonder.
I’m sure you were all on the edge of your seats
during last Thursday’s presentation of the Webby Awards. You weren’t? Well neither was I actually, but it’s always kind of interesting to see the nominated sites. Many are
familiar names, of course, but every once in a while, one leaps out at you and you wonder, “Why haven’t I seen that one before?”
The “leaper” for me this year was a games site
called Orisinal. Not for you hardcore white-knuckle gamers, I’m afraid. Rather, it’s fairly quiet and contemplative, almost Asian in
feel. The games, by turn cute, mischievous and quirky, are beautifully rendered Flash animations. No banner ads, no pop-up
ads, just a quiet place to while away a little quality time on the Internet. Take a look.
Okay, okay, I give up. Not a drop of rain fell here yesterday as far as I can
tell, despite the aforementioned “looming clouds.” This morning, a brief shower brought back the smug smile for a bit, but
now the sun is out and things are looking pretty darned pleasant. Lesson is, I guess, never bet against the sun, weather forecasters
notwithstanding. I should be happy, I know. It’s a beautiful Sunday afternoon. And, for all I know, it may have rained all
weekend up at the lake. You know, I’ll just bet it did.
The dated links above are to previous week's posts. Take a look if you haven't been following along.
And just for the record, all words and pictures, except as noted, are mine and mine alone. I take full responsibility
for them (unless, of course, legal action is threatened).
Willie, here, is both the mascot and the arbiter of good taste for this site... So, as you might
expect, people will be offended. My apologies.
