Herein I expect to describe how professionals in the mental-health fields, among themselves and over time, have modified the "official" DSM-IV criteria for autism spectrum conditions. Thus possibly foreshadowing expansions and contraction of relevant sections of the new DSM edition expected in 2011 or so.
