Weimaraners are a wonderful and loving breed to own.
BUT, WEIMARANERS ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE!

To be a good Weimaraner owner you must be able to stay one step ahead and possess a lot of patience and a sense of humor. You must be able to spend lots of quality time with your canine companion and share all aspects of your life.Weimaraners will accept no less!

Let's face it, for all you weim owners we know...how many of us are owned by our dogs? Yes, we thought so.

Weims are very people oriented and need to feel part of the family. They
like to go places and help with all projects whether their help is need or not. They are not a breed that likes to be left outside and are best kept in the house. They housebreak very easily and despite their size make great house dogs. Many will often become very happy lounging on your couch or bed. Most enjoy lying by your feet while you work or read.

Weimaraners require a good deal of exercise and entertainment. "A tired Weimaraner is a happy Weimaraner" As a weim owner, you must set rules and provide structure for your new friend. Otherwise it will take over. The breed is very manipulative and intelligent...You Must Be Smarter!
They can be stubborn and hard headed...You Must Be The Big Bull in the Pen.
Obedience training and crate training are a must. Weims are prone to separation anxiety if not properly trained and socialized.

We at Wolf Creek know and love the breed and can help you decide whether a Weimaraner is the right dog for you. We carefully place each and every dog in the right environment.

Don't be fooled by their little hallos!
When we receive a dog into our program, we have the dog spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heart worm checked and parasite checked. We then evaluate each dog and determine what it needs in home and strive to place it in an environment that is suitable.
