Or How We Got To 17.

This is Rayne Beau's tale and how we got to number 17.

Hi All Y'all....well, everybirdie wants to know the tale of the Lory....drag up a chair, settle back, and I'll tell you a story, er...a tale...yeah, that's it...a tale about how we became home to # 17. It started some time ago....I was buying our food (birds food that is) and having it shipped....cost was about $30 a time. While pet store shopping around this area, I found a food supplier that would order what I needed and I saved the $30. I made the mistake of taking Mz Sherry with me to get food one day....yes, there was 'the' Lory...He/She took one look at Mz Sherry and said in a clear voice..."I Love You!!" Now folks, at that point, I saw it was useless to struggle, and any chance for escape was fruitless. So, from that time till the present, it was downhill all the way...just a one way path. Today, time ran out on me, and #17 came home to stay. He/She is 4 years 9 months old....and is named Rainbow Lory..(how original?)...Rainbow is hand tame, will step up no problem, but doesn't like to return to the cage....talks, dances like Mango.......and seems to be a very smart bird. (at least outsmarted me)...ok, no comments. Diet consist of pellets, fresh fruit and veggies, and has never been on nectar. Mz Sherry and I talked to the flock and told them they would have to move their bunks closer together to make room for the new addition. They all agreed, as long as each got their loving and skritches as uaual, it would be okay.....we got a phone call last night saying we could pick Rainbow up this morning. I grabbed the Stella Bird Flight Cage, the grey one, and off we went. Rainbow is not camera shy, thank goodness...not that I take a lot of pictures or anything. Well, that's the Lory tale and how it happened....and that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
