About Me

I grew up in the Eugene Oregon area, and met my husband, Bill at Oregon Tech. (now OIT) in Klamath Falls, Oregon. We moved to the Tri Cities, Washington for 5 years. All three of our children were born there. We then moved to Kirkland Washington and spent the next 25 years there. Children, grown and gone to various parts of the world, we moved back to Oregon in Pleasant Hill on 27 acres, (where Bill grew up) to help our aging parents. Sixteen years later, we are still here. Meanwhile our children have moved from coast to coast, and seemed to have settled in Virginia, Louisiana, and Utah. They have blessed us with 14 grandchildren, 11 boys, and 3 girls.

I was making and selling corn husk dolls until last year when I developed fast growing cataracts and had to have surgery in both eyes. Due to complications with the left eye, I have decided to no longer make the dolls to sell.

I sell most of my pine needle baskets through a friend, Kate Penhallegon, who has a booth at the Farmer's Market in Eugene, Oregon. It's right next to the famous Saturday Market. She sells them in the spring/summer time and during the Holiday season.  All of the baskets on the basket page  and my webshots pages (see favorite links) have been sold, but I can make more baskets that are similar to those.  I have an account with PayPal and can make and ship most of them within 2 weeks.  (larger baskets take close to a month) Prices range from $45 to $350.

When I'm not making baskets, I'm working on my family history or gardening, or making hand dipped chocolates for friends at Christmas.

On this page are pictures of our back yard. The one of Emily’s garden is one of my favorite areas. We named it that after our grandaughter, Emily came to visit and fell in love with the garden. She even had to say "goodbye" to the garden when she left.
