- Judith works to create an environment and a process that allows individuals to negotiate an agreement that resolves their dispute. Her preferred style is facilitative, however, I am comfortable with taking a more directive approach.

- Her optimistic nature and the belief that individuals can successfully mediate a dispute serve as a powerful motivator for the parties involved in mediation. She has experienced the power of mediation in creating an opportunity for individuals to do their best to resolve difficult dispute.

As a mediator, Judith believes that the mediator must remain neutral and not make judgments, remembering that every conflict has more than one point of view. She realizes the importance of listening carefully to all the persons involved in the mediation process so that she can help the individuals develop an agreement from a position of strength. The individuals who are participating in the mediation session need to be empowered so that they can reach an agreement. The agreement that is reached needs to be considered fair and workable by the entire participant. The confidentiality of the mediation process is key to the success and needs to be honored by all the participants.
