For "Skipper"
Joe Liazzo's Page (SK/1C)

To the man we call "Skipper", whose tireless efforts aboard the '681 were surpassed by his support over half a century later to bring you, dear visitor, the story of the 'Fighting Blade'.

Joe Liazzo (aka "Imbog") is today a retired country gentleman residing in N. Reading Mass., with his lovely wife Sandy and son Joe, Jr.

Here, Joe poses for the camera with the ship's Mascot, an island monkey who gave the crew many laughs.

'Well Done, Joe'

"We couldn't have done this without you!"
