Ethel L. Hathaway, 93, formerly of 111 E. 7th St., Muscatine, Iowa, died Sunday, April 2, 2000, at Lutheran Homes, Muscatine. Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers, Muscatine. Burial is in Eliza Creek Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials to the Eastern Star or First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member.
Ethel was born on Aug. 26, 1906, in Petersville, Ill., to Walter and Carrie Beverlin Cox. She married Kenneth Hathaway Sept. 3, 1928, in Aledo. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine.
