Hildebrand, 69, were held Wed., Sept. 25, at Collins Funeral Home with Father Frank Palmer and the Rev. Robert Furlong officiating. Mr. Hildebrand died September 22 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Des Moines. A lifetime Madison County resident, he was born December 16, 1921 to Mack Vinton and Nola Madge (Huss) Hildebrand. He married Mary A. Emerson June 9, 1943 in Dallas County. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post #184 of Winterset. Neil Winfield Hildebrand was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers and an infant sister. Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger and wife Shelly, of Winterset; a brother, Norman of Des Moines; a sister Beth Sankey of Winterset; and five grandchildren. The body will be cremated following the services. Burial at North McDonald Cemetery, will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

She was a retired mail clerk for IMT Insurance in Des Moines. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary, St. Joseph Altar Society and Metalic Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one sister. Suviving relatives include one son, Roger and wife Shelly Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Rose McNeer of Newton, Carroll Warhola of Tampa, Fla., and Marjorie Singer of Wilson, N.C.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorials may be directed to the North McDonald Cemetery Association.
