Sounding Joy! has incorporated teenagers and even elementary school youngsters into
several of its programs.

March 29, 2009: The Youth Chorus sang three songs by Johannes Brahms--"Far Down in the Valley," "Oh Calm Night, and "Lullaby" as part of Sounding Joy!'s Springtime Serenade at the Bethany Church in Randolph, VT.

October 15, 2008:   The Sounding Joy! Youth Chorus participated in a performance by the Boston-based folk group, "Sol y Canto" by singing five lively songs in Spanish at the Chandler Music Hall in Randolph, VT. 

May 18, 2008:   The Sounding Joy! Youth Chorus participated with the Sounding Joy! chorus in a program of sow tunes covering a century of American musical theater favorites. at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Randolph, VT

November 18, 2007: The Sounding Joy! Youth Chorus sang a selection of folksongs, Thanksgiving songs, rounds, descants, and show tunes in conjunction with the Waitsfield Kids Kabaret as part of the Central Vermont Youth Symphonia at the Bethany Church in Montpelier, VT.

November 16, 2007: The Sounding Joy! Youth Chorus sang a selection of folksongs, Thanksgiving songs, rounds, descants, and show tunes at the Three Bean Cafe in Randolph, VT.

November 5, 2007: The Sounding Joy! youth chorus sang folk songs, Thanksgiving songs, rounds, descants, and show tunes at the Menig Extended Care Facility at the Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, VT 

May 6, 2007In a joint program with the Randolph Singers, the Sounding Joy! youth chorus sang four songs from the Fabulous Fifties:  "Splish-Splash," "Bye, Bye Love," "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," and Doo-Wah- Ditty," at the Chandler Music Hall in Randolph, Vermont.

March 9, 2007:  The Sounding Joy! Youth Chorus sang "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" at the Mini-Mud season Talent Show for children at the Chandler Music Hall.

January 7, 2007:  Sounding Joy! Youth Chorus performed traditional Mexican, Venezuelan and Spanish songs at Sounding Joy!'s Multicultural Twelfth-Night Celebration at the Bethany Church in Randolph, and also danced the conga line in "Guadalupe Magnificat," by Glenn McClure

March 6 & 20, 2006:  "Deh Vieni, Non Tardar" from Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro" sung by soprano Grace Christ of Hartford
High School, at Sounding Joy!'s performance of Mozart's "Requiem," in Newport and at the Bethany Church in Randolph.

:  "Just a Song at Twilight:" Sentimental Favorites with children's chorus, Chandler Gallery, Randolph. 

February 6, 2005: Performance of Fauré Requiem with Vermont Philharmonic Orchestra at Barre Opera House.  Sounding Joy! and children's chorus prepared by Marjorie Drysdale.

December, 2004: Children participation in Christmas cameo with Randolph Singers.

January, 2000: Works by Scarlatti, Handel, von Weber and "Magnificat" by Jonathan Willcocks, and Music for a New Millennium. With festival brass, percussion and organ, and U-32 high school guest clarinetist Bronwyn Cathey. Also, "Bashana Haba'ah" by Nurit Hirsch with Sounding Joy! and Randolph Union High School Chorus and Randolph high school clarinetist Erin Howe. "Cantate Domino"  
by Randolph Union HS solo quartet, and

HS.  Joint performance of  "Bashana Haba'ah" by Nurit Hirsch, and "Alleluia" by Manuel.  These pieces were performed again by both groups together at the annual Randolph Singers holiday concert.

February, 1999: With string quartet, continuo, Randolph Union High School Latin students; "In Motion" high school dance students. The decorations were by Randolph elementary students of Rebbie Carleton, at  Chandler Gallery, Randolph . "Dido and Aeneas," by Henry Purcell  

May, 1996: Joint concert with South Burlington Community Chorus and the People's Performance Children's Chorus of Randolph Center, prepared by Patty Warlick. At St. Paul's Cathedral, Burlington, VT and at Chandler Music Hal, Randolph, VT. "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff.

Spring, 1999:  Concert for Kosovo at Bethany Church, Randolph. Works by Victoria, Ingegneri, Farrant, Menotti, Gretchaninov, Byrd, Hassler, Schubert, Mahler, Schubert, Palestrina, Jannequin, Thompson. With high school students reading poetry, including a poem read by Serbian HS exchange student;  candlelight ceremony and peace circle.

December 11, 1991
: Cameo Appearance at Randolph Singers Holiday Concert, Chandler Music Hall.  Motets, carols, and Bach Cantata #1,  "How Brightly Shines the Morning Star."Sounding Joy! director Marjorie Drysdale prepared the children from the Sharon graded school in this music, so that they could participate in the performance of the cantata, which was directed by her husband, M. Dickey Drydale.

May, 1991: Benefit concert for Randolph Food Shelf. Bethany Church, Randolph. Bach Cantata #4, "Christ Lag in Todesbanden," with children’s chorus prepared by Marjorie Drysdale, and local orchestra (“Festival Strings”). Also on the program:  A variety of instrumental and vocal solos and duets.

Christmas, 1990: The Randolph Singers Christmas Concert.  Four Carols by Alfred Burt. "Come, Dear Children" and "Some Children See Him" with Children’s chorus. Isaac Eddy and Kim Nowlan, soloists. “Christ in the Strangers Guise," "The Star Carol."

February, 1989: Pianist Jamie Hill, of Randolph Union High School and Vermont's 1989 Philharmonic Young Artist Concerto Award Winner, performed the first movement of Grieg's Piano Concerto in A-Minor, with his mother Mary Hill, at a Sounding Joy! concert.

May, 1988:  Guest pianist Jamie Hill, a freshman at Randolph Union High School, appeared with his mother Mary Hill in Sounding Joy!'s concert of Brahms' Liebeslieder Waltzes and P.D.Q. Bach's "Liebeslieder Polkas."

February 13, 1987: Second Madrigal Dinner, Chandler Gallery: "Broken Hearts and Cupid's Darts," with Randolph Union HS "Upbeats" chorus members participating.
