In the 22 years since the tournament went to 64 teams in 1985:

• 265 teams have made the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament (including 3 new ones in 2006 - Albany, Belmont, Oral Roberts)
• 73 teams have garnered a top four seed (no new ones in 2006)
  
• 32 teams have garnered a #1 seed (including two new ones in 2006 - Memphs, Villanova)

• 152 teams have won at least one game over the past 22 years (including 5 new teams in 2006)
  
• 98 teams have made the Sweet Sixteen at least once (including 3 new teams in 2006)
  
• 38 teams have made at least one Final Four (including one new team in 2006 - George Mason!)
  
• 17 teams have won at least one championship (including Florida, new in 2006)

The pages were created from my personal records (so there could be errors) from an Excel spreadsheet format.  Also, I'm a purist - there are 64 teams in the tournament, not 65.  Thus, only the winners of the Tuesday play-in games are considered to have made the tourney.
