In the 21 years since the tournament went to 64 teams in 1985:

• 262 teams have made the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament (including 5 new ones this year)
  
• 147 teams have won at least one game over the past 20 years (though 2004)
  
• 95 teams have made the Sweet Sixteen at least once
• 37 teams have made at least one Final Four
• 16 teams have won at least one championship

• 73 teams have garnered a top four seed (including one new one this year)
  
• 30 teams have garnered a #1 seed (including one new one this year - Washington)

The pages were created from my personal records (so there could be errors) from an Excel spreadsheet format.  Also, I'm a purist - there are 64 teams in the tournament, not 65.  Thus, only the winners of the Tuesday play-in games are considered to have made the tourney.  (For the time being in the seeding rankings, I've included both Oakland, Mich. and Alabama A&M).
