Currently I am a research scientist (level II) at the National
Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC)
in conjunction with the University of Colorado Cooperative
Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES). One of my
duties is interim team leader for the SSM/I passive microwave
polar stereographic sea ice products.
My previous position was as an assistant professor at the U.S. Naval Academy in the Oceanography
Department, where I taught upper-level undergraduate classes in
Polar Oceanography/Meteorology and Environmental Remote Sensing.
Before going to the USNA, I worked as a post-doc at the National Ice Center in
Washington, DC.
Before that, I worked at CCAR, Colorado Center
for Astrodynamics Research.
I was part of PAOS,
the Program in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, now the Atm.
and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC) Department.
