Surf training

Here's a photo from some of our recent surf training that we do. That was probably a 12-14 ft wave. I'm the one standing above
the ladder in this photo. Luckily it was warm out that day, but we still got wet.

So once again it has been a while since the last update. I'm still busy as ever at work. Busy chasing Zach around when I'm
home. Yesterday I went to the San Francisco rotary Club for an award luncheon. It for for Local Emergency Service heroes.
The crewman from the case I posted about in November was recognized as Coast Guardsman of the year for the area ( from the
SF Rotary). It was a very nice function. Lots of rich people there. The Sf rotary is the 2nd oldest rotary dating back to
1908. Hopefully they post photos on their website since none of us that went brought a camera. We had to wear our Service
Dress Bravo uniform for it.

Ohhh Christmas tree.
Today we went and got our Christmas tree. We went to a place just north of us. They had a huge selection. But with that was
a huge price tag. So we ended up at Costco and got a 7' 1/2" tree for a very reasonable price. We put it up and put the
lights on it. The ornaments will wait until monday.
Gas is still slowly dropping here. I paid $1.62 at Costco today. Most places are still 20 cents higher.
Another duty weekend is upon me. Then its 2 weeks off! At least I wont be the only engineer this weekend! There will be 4
of us. Quite the change from the past 3 duty weekends.

Things that get me going!
Why are people so lazy!
This afternoon Zach and I stopped by Target to pick up an extra string of icicle lights for the house. On our way out to the
truck we saw a lady load her car with a few items from her cart then put the cart up on the curb in the spot next to her car.
The damn cart return was a whopping 15 directly behind her car on the opposite side of her car. She probably could have stood
at the rear of her car and pushed it into the return area it was so close. I hate it when people are so lazy they wont put
there cart back. Maybe its because my first job was pushing carts at a grocery store. Even with Zach I, and Gina, always manage
to put the cart in the return area. Oh yeah, and when I pushed carts we didn't have these electronic cart pushers they use
now. We pushed them all under our own power.
