WCG works with elevator companies during the repair, replacement, or installation of elevator hydraulic casings.  This elevator pit had major water intrusion and necessitated the use of wooden wedges as a temporary seal prior to the injection of the urethane for a water seal.

Once the water intrusion is stopped the pit will be pumped out and degreased.

A block out will be poured in the pit floor after the injection tubes are placed.  For the most effective waterproofing, the urethane injection is done on a grid pattern throughout the floor.

The clean elevator pit will have a cant joint installed at the floor to wall juncture to eliminate seepage.  The final step is to apply a waterproof coating on the interior walls.
