History of Card Games
Card games have probably been around for many years. The best feature is that they are portable and with standardized symbols can be played by peolple from every nation. The standard 52 card deck has spawned hundreds of variations alone. Obviously game designers have capitalized on the basic cards flexibility and are designing hundreds of new games to be played with cards. Most card games require no extra playing aides such as boards or dice. They can be played in ones hand or be played on a tabletop. Players alternate taking turns drawing and playing or responding to another players actions. The games continue until one player reaches a certain point score or has used all the cards in his or her hand or deck. Many of the games with a standard card deck select a specific suit (color or design) or range of cards to be higher/better than the rest. These cards are usually referred to as trump.
