"Our Lady's Blue Army"

Welcome! We're glad you're here. We hope our site
is helpful.
The Green Bay Diocesan Division
of the World Apostolate of Fatima has four primary objectives:
1. To tell the Story
of Our Lady's Apparitions at Fatima.
2. To relate Our Lady's Message
to the world.
3. To identify Our Lady's Requests.
4. To assist the faithful in the Fulfillment
of her Requests.
"The Message of Fatima is more important today
than ever."
(Pope John Paul II)
Pope Benedict XVI shares this conviction of Pope
John Paul II and wholeheartedly supported the erection of the World Apostolate of Fatima to the canonical status of a
Public International Association of the Faithful. This was not a pat on the back for the work the apostolate has done
over the years. Rather, it magnified the apostolate's responsibility in spreading the Message of Fatima. The Vatican
is convinced that the importance of the message warrants such canonical status, and hopes that it will be
helpful to the apostolate in officially spreading the Message of Fatima throughout the world on behalf of Holy Mother
Church.
The World Apostolate of Fatima is a Public International
Association of the Faithful under the Pontifical Council for the Laity, and is the only Fatima organization
so designatd which presents the complete Message of Fatima, teaches officially
in the name of the Church about it, and offers comprehensive programs built around all of Our Lady's
requests which are designed to assist its members in learning, liveing and spreading the Message of Fatima throughout
the world.
[To view the Decree of Erection please click on Forms & Documents
in the page index on the left side of your screen.]
It is our ardent hope that
all will come to the realization that membership in and support of the World Apostolate of Fatima is the most effective means
of peronally fulfilling Our Lady's requests and spreading the Message of Fatima throughout the world.
For specifics about various aspects of the
Fatima Story, Our Lady's message, the requests she made of us and their fulfillment please see our
page index located in the blue column at the left side of your computer screen.
We welcome your comments and any suggestions
you might have as to how the site can be improved.
What
is a Public Association of the Faithful?
Only a public association can receive
a mission to teach Christian doctrine in the name of the Church, promote public worship or pursue a purpose which by nature
is reserved to ecclesiastical authority (canon 301 §1). As a public association, the members act in the name of the Church
when fulfilling the purpose of the association.
"Under the umbrella of the WAF, all associations
and apostolic movements propagating the authentic message of Fatima may encounter an example of faithfulness and loyalty
to the Holy Father and the diocesan bishops in communion with the Successor of Peter."
[Archbishop Stanislaw Rylko, president of the Pontifical Council for the Laity]
The complete Story
of Fatima
is told in a fifty-page booklet titled
"Lucia Speaks - The Message of Fatima."
Please click on "Story of Our Lady's Apparitions
at Fatima" in our page index for an articulation of the story based on the Apostolate's booklet.
Please see our Publications & Sacramentals page to order
the booklet..
The Message of
Fatima
is intertwined with the Story within the pages of "Lucia Speaks - The Message of Fatima," the
same boolket identified under The Story of Fatima just above.
However, many appreciate an articulation of the Message by itself with some amount of explanation
and clarification of its meaning for purposes of acquiring broader and deeper understanding.
Please click on "Message of Fatima" in our page index for just such an articulation.
Our Lady's Requests
are as follows:
1. To daily offer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of
Mary, the sacrifices demanded by the daily duties required of our state in life, as well as whatever hardships and
difficulties befall us, in reparation for our own sins and the sins of others, and for the conversion of sinners.
2. To pray part of the Rosary* daily while meditating on the Mysteries in reparation
for sin and for world peace.
*Usually understood to mean at least five
decades.
3. To wear the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel as a sign and reminder of
our consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and as a protection against the snares of Satan.
4. To practice the Communion of Reparation on the first Saturday of each month,
also known as the devotion of the Five First Saturdays.
5. To spread the Message of Fatima to others.
Assisting the Faithful in the
Fulfillment of Our Lady's Requests
This is a multifaceted and fluid endeavor which has taken many forms over the
years. The cultivation of Prayer Cells, the publication of numerous booklets, pamphlets and flyers, the publication of
Soul Magazine, national and divisional Pilgrim Virgin Statue Visitation Programs, the Children of the Eucharist Program, the
promotion of pilgrimages to Fatima, and a host of other means have been helpful and effective.
Important note - Please
understand
Whenever we speak of recruiting new members for the Apostolate our ultimate
objective will always be an increase in overall Fulfillment
of Our Lady's Requests on the part of the faithful.
Pilgrim Virgin Statue Home Family Visitation
will introduce the Apostolate to families, and hopefully establish many new
Family Prayer Cells.
[Please see "Pilgrim Virgin Statue Visitation" & "Prayer Cells Explained"
in our page index.]
Pilgrim Virgin Statue Parish Visitation
will seek to establish parish-based Apostolate education centers from which will
spring new Apostolate members, Prayer Cells, and new locations where the First Saturday Devotion will be practiced.
[Please see "Pilgrim Virgin Statue Visitation" in our page index.]
Theological Basics of the Fatima Message
Theological terms & concepts can be confusing. Not infrequently we have need of explanations
of terminology and concepts when discussing or reading about matters spiritual or theological.
For example, what is the difference between atonement and reparation?
Or, what is the difference between penance and sacrifice?
We will attempt to provide some theological basics germane to the Fatima Message, and will
direct you to reliable and authentically Catholic sources of more comprehensive presentations on the topics we address on
this web site.
Please see "Theological Basics of the Fatima Message" in the page index on the left side of
your computer screen, or click on the link to that page provided just below.
