Spotlight on Women March 27, 2007  Honors 2 distinguished  Women of Honor:

Ruth Ann Young, owner of The Spirit of Christmas shop in downtown Kirkland, is the catalyst for Operation Iraq: The Spirit of Christmas. Ms Young and her group of volunteers send military personnel stationed in Iraq, goody boxes filled with "wish list" items at Christmas time.

Kathy Alm has been the Executive Director at Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center for almost seven years. Ms. Alm oversees all aspects of Little Bit’s operations and under her guidance, Little Bit has grown from 75 riders per week and a $280,000 budget, to a budget of over $1M that supports over 200 riders per week. Two truly remarkable women.
