I am looking forward to seeing you all at our 87th BPW/WA Annual Conference May 16-18, Marysville WA.

Caribbean theme. Wear your print tops, bring your beads and have some fun in the sun for Friday night, dinner and networking. Saturday business and YC/ID presentations at lunch. Formal dinner Sat evening and installation of officers. IDP courses offering during the conference, preregistration is required.

We have reduced the Conference time to help with the cost of attending State Conference in overnight stays, meal costs, time off from work and time away from family. Board meeting will begin Friday at 2:00pm. Highlights: Buffet dinner, social and networking Friday night. Saturday Conference all day. IDP all 14 modules will be offered by BPW National ID committee member Lynie. Register early, hotel rooms are only $99. per night with free shuttle anytime to the nearby Tulalip casino and outlet shopping center.

My congratulations to Renton BPW and South King County BPW who had very well attended installations. We have interest in starting an Olympia Chapter and a Tacoma Chapter of BPW. Please contact us if you have someone in those area's who would like to be a part of our exciting organization.

This years Theme: The Monarch butterfly represents my image for this next year.

Each fall, Monarch butterflies in Maine begin an unbelievable journey to a hilltop in Mexico. How do they do it? They focus on the goal, not the difficulties. Each day they take their bearings and set off, allowing their instincts and desire to steer them. They accept what comes: some winds blow them off course, others speed them along. They keep flying until, one day, they arrive. This is not done in 1 Monarch’s lifetime, it takes up to 3 generations along the way to carry on the flight together to their final destination.

This is BPW. We carry on the mission set down in 1919. We are Women helping women, personally, professionally, and politically. Like the Monarch, your determination makes the difference. I Believe in you. I Believe in our organization and I Believe we can achieve anything.

IMAGINE what we can do together and BELIEVE that we can achieve anything.
