We’re half way through the 2006/07 BPW year…we’ve had our summer picnics and fall conferences. The holiday
season is here, bringing BPW parties and fundraisers. This is a great time for bringing guests and prospective members to
local meetings. Let them see what our organization is all about: women helping women, personal and professional development,
friendship and fun!
You probably have your meeting programs planned for the next six months. Why not start recruiting for your Young Careerist
program right now? Get the word out to local businesses and invite them to support a young employee. Don’t overlook
young women operating their own home-based businesses. YC could be a real boost for such women.
It’s not too early to be thinking about what you will do in BPW/WA next year. President-Elect Janyne Moynihan will
be putting together her board…both standing and special committee chairs. Call her! Offer your support and let her know
your interests. Serving as a state officer or committee chair is both challenging and rewarding.
BPW/WA Annual Conference will be held in Seattle at the Best Western Executive Inn, right by the Space Needle! May 17-20,
2007. Please be sure all your members have the dates on their calendar. Tell your friends and business associates.
BPW/USA National Conference will be in RENO. Put this on your calendar. We hope to have at least 25 members attending!
Happy Holidays!
