Campus BPW
With the theme for the year as "Being on Target", we are off to
a good start. Our first luncheon meeting for this year which occurred on September 22nd at the University of Washington Club
(UW Club), featured Anna Laszlo, who is director of research for Circle Solutions which addresses issues concerning women
and their welfare and well-being. With 30 years of experience, she talked about her impressions of Seattle. She is married
to Seattle Police Chief, Gil Kerlikowske. In the coming months, our programs will offer a variety of topics: October’s
program featured a very timely topic concerning cautions surrounding voter machines; November will bring a nutritional expert
to "Interpret the Morse Code of Food Labels" as well as our annual contribution to New Beginnings.
Finally, we invite all those who are interested to join us at the UW Club for any of our luncheon programs - come share
great company, good food, and the best view in Seattle!

District Two Meeting
in Gig Harbor
Fall Conference – October 14 th
with October 7th as a back up.
Spring Conference – March 24 th Our theme is "Let’s
Get Cooking" with the hope that we could get a professional chef as a speaker. That applies to ‘getting the job done’
as well as food preparation and eating. Pam will check with Bon Vivant and Bobbie will email Rachel Ray. A celebrity chef
would be a great draw and could be used as a fundraiser. Other suggestions were Tom Douglas – if you know a professional
chef that would be willing to do a demonstration please contact them and let your district officers know the result. Many
will agree to speak if we allow them to sell books, etc. Another suggestion was having the conference at South Seattle Community
College with the culinary students preparing and serving lunch. More information to follow.
