Congress, there will be 71 women, plus three delegates (53 D/21 R) and 16 women in the US Senate (11 D/5 R)…a
gain in both Chambers! And a big congratulations to Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska who now brings the total of women governors
to 9. It is absolutely wonderful that people aren’t concentrating as much on the fact that the candidate (or winner)
is a woman anymore. Removing the obstacle of gender from a candidate’s qualifications shows the nation is evolving and
will definitely open the door to the White House.

Although the Pipeline to the Presidency concentrates on federal and gubernatorial races, thank you to all of the women
who ran for elected office, and a big congratulations to those who won Tuesday’s elections.
