Dear members. HELP!! We need to make BPW/WA more member friendly. Do you and your
members feel that your voice is heard at your local district and state level? What would you like us to help you with? Increasing
your membership, publicity, and/or speakers for programs?
I personally believe that one key to involving more young professionals and encouraging new members from the business community
is to offer effective networking opportunities. Have members give a one minute introduction at every meeting. Host one meeting
a year for Networking. I will provide you with the material for the evening and I promise it will be fun, entertaining and
you may get several new members.
As we begin the new year local and district officers are already thinking of the leaders for 2007-2008. If you are having
a difficult time recruiting members to take on local officer, committee or district roles, please encourage them to take our
Leadership Development course. They will gain confidence in their ability to take on these rolls in BPW and the tools to use
so we all represent Professional Women.
I look forward to serving in the coming year and hope to make BPW as beneficial for each of you as it has been for me.
IMAGINE what we can do together and BELIEVE that we can achieve anything.
