Royal Ranger Groups

Outpost 301 hosts all four Royal Ranger groups, meeting the needs of boys in grades K through 12.  Each group has a dymanic advancement program to challenge and encourage the boys to grow physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.

Ranger Kids - Trail to fun and adventure.  With group mascot J. B. Beaver as your guide, you will participate in an exciting program for boys in grades kindergarten through second grade. You will follow trails to activities and adventures in games, hiking, nature study, crafts and ceremonies. Best of all, you will be guided along the trail of Bible study and Christian living to the Master Ranger - Jesus. Get ready because there are lots of fun and exciting things ahead

Discovery Rangers is for boys in grades 3 through 5 and features an exciting merit-based advancement program. There are 30 different merits to choose from plus 24 Bible merits.  Types of merits that can be earned include First Aid, Ropecraft, Church, Models & Design, Space Exploration, Marksmanship, Chess, Pets, and many others.  These merits help the boy to eventually earn their Gold Eagle award.

Adventure Rangers is well named.  Boys in grades 6 through 8 participate in an exciting advancement program that leads up to the Gold Medal of Achievement (Equivalent to the Boy Scout Eagle Award).  More outdoor opportunities are available to this group to include membership in the Frontier Camping Fellowship (FCF), an auxillary program within Royal Rangers.  FCF is a frontier themed camping and fellowship group of only the top-notched commanders and boys.

This groups involves boys in their high school years (9th through 12th grades) in more advanced training, camping and leadership development.  Boys in this group can also continue working towards the Gold Medal of Achievement, participate in FCF and attend leadership training camps.  The goal is to prepare these young men to assume their place within the church.
