Background Information:Legal Nurse Consultant Victoria R. Sweet, R.N., is uniquely qualified to provide comprehensive consulting services in legal matters involving a wide range of medical issues. She is a seasoned Registered Nurse with more than a decade of medical experience in hospital and private practice nursing. She is a graduate of St. John's Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, Illinois. Following graduation, she worked throughout the Hospital on the general medical and surgical floors as an R.N. with emphasis in the labor and delivery, high risk obstetrics and post partum areas. Starting in 1991, she specialized in reproductive endocrinology and infertility nursing with Women's Health Care & Reproductive services (now Specialists in Reproductive Medicine & Surgery, P.A.). During this employment, she became experienced in the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) guidelines, laboratory certification requirements and standards of care protocols. She also became a Notary Public. Victoria started LNC in 1997 and has been instrumental in building cases, finding expert witnesses, elucidating weakness of the cases and educating the legal team.
Personal:Mrs. Sweet is married to Reproductive Endocrinologist Craig R. Sweet, M.D. They have two children, Parker and Samantha (see Family Album page). She serves on community boards, including the Lee County Alliance of Legal professionals and the Lee County Medical Society Alliance. Mrs. Sweet has been very active in setting up a program that hopes to minimize adolescent driving while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. She is co-founder of the not-for-profit HOPE Foundation and has many professional and personal relationships within the area's medical, business, legal and social communities.
