VINNY GRAPH v1.61 for Pocket PC and Pocket PC 2002

INTRODUCTION
Vinny Graph for Pocket PC is a quick flexible XY graphing program 
which can generate a series of different graph types. It is easy 
to use and accepts and exports data through a variety of sources.
Data can be entered manually into a mini spreadsheet. It can also
be pasted into the spreadsheet from other applications such as Excel.
Complete graphs can be loaded from [.vin] graph files. The [.vin]
files can also be imported from desktop Vinny Graphics by translating
[.gra] files. This process works in both directions so that files
generated on the pocket PC can be viewed on a desktop PC or vice
verse. 
  
INPUT
Data input is by:
     1-Cut, copy and paste from external spread sheets.
     2-Key pad entry into a mini internal spread sheet.
     3-Loading complete graph files with [.vin] extension.

OUTPUT 
Output is by:
     1-Cut, copy and paste to external spread sheets.
     2-Copying value of the regression coefficients.
     3-Copying Y interpolation values. 
     4-Saving complete graph files with [.vin] extension.

GRAPH SETTINGS
Graphs allow total freedom in setting up scales and grids. Direct
inut of values for Xmax, Xmin, Ymax and Ymin. Set X grids and
Y grids form 1 to 20. Graph types include points, lines, bars,
lines & bars and  linear, 2nd order, Log and power regression fits.

MATH AND REGRESSION
An interpolation window accepts X value inputs and provides
an estimate for Y using a straight line connecting the XY points.
It also provides Y estimates using the following: 
     1- linear regression fit.
     2- 2nd order regression fit.
     3- log regression fit.
     4- power regression fit.
The values for the regression coefficients along with the
coefficient of determination are dislpayed and can be copied.
        
COMPANION TO DESKTOP VERSION VINNY GRAPHICS 2.02
A drag and drop file conversion utility is included with the
ZIP package. Vin_Gra.exe runs on a desktop PC and converts files
in both directions.  If a pocket pc [.vin] file is dragged and 
dropped onto the Vin_Gra.exe icon a desktop Vinny Graphics [.gra]
file is produced. If a desktop PC [.gra] file is dropped on the
icon a [.vin] Vinny Graph pocket PC file is produced. The desktop
PC can thus be used to print pocket pc generated graphs. Note
pocket pc Vinny Graph files are restricted to one data set.
         
FILES IN THE ZIP PACKAGE
This zip package contains the complete Vinny Graph Pocket program
with Setup.exe for instillation.  CAB files for the following 
processors are included.

     2-Mips 4000 (4K) v3.00
     3-Arm 1100 (4K) v3.00
     4-I486 (4K) v3.00
After instillation six demo graph [.vin] files can found in the
pocket pc personal folder.

     6-DemoPower.vin
The drag and drop conversion utility Vin_Gra.exe is also in the 
ZIP package along with this readme file readpock.txt.

PROGRAM HELP (Just tap [Window|Help] at any time)
  1-DATA ENTRY
  Use [Window|Data] to manually enter XY data points into mini
  spreadsheet cells. To select blocks of data, drag over the
  cells. To copy, paste or delete selected data tap the icons
  at the bottom of the data window. Copied data can be transferred
  to and from other programs such as Microsoft Excel. After data
  entry, but before viewing graph, tap [Window|Settings] and
  [Auto Scale]. This assures that all data points are in the range
  of the graph. Save graphs using [File|Save] and load graphs
  using [File|Open]. Use [File|New] to clear data and reset
  settings to default values.

  2-SETTINGS
  Use [Window|Settings] to selected the graph type. Tap the
  desired radio button. Graph options include points, lines,
  bars and linear, 2nd order, log and power regression fits.
  Tap [Auto Scale] to set the scale values for Xmax, Xmin, 
  Ymax and Ymin. [Auto Scale] also sets XY grid values.
  Modify these initial settings as desired. If data values
  are changed rerun [Auto Scale]. Edit graph titles as
  desired.

  3-INTERPOLATE and REGRESSION
  Use [Window|Interpolate] to estimate values of Y given X and
  to select the best regression fits. Input individual X values
  into the top text box. Tap [Interpolate] to estimate a 
  corresponding value for Y.  Both a straight line and a curve
  fit estimate  are provided.  Tap the desired regression type
  to change the curve fit equation. Use the coefficient of
  determination to select the best fit. The best values are 
  less then but nearest to one(1). Tap to copy Y estimates or 
  regression coefficients to the clipboard. Note the current 
  graph type is automatically switched to the selected 
  regression equation. 


REGISTRATION
The registration dialog will pop up in place of this program when
the 5 day free trial period has ended.  To register Vinny Graph
send $15.00(US) to the mail address below and request an
activation code.  Be sure to include your serial number and
your email address with your request. If you wish to register prior
to your free trial time running out the registration dialog can be
found by tapping the Register menu item at the bottom of the help
window. Any upgrades are available free to registered users.
