Debchia was kidnapped not long after birth and needless to say octina's parent's especially her father seemed to love the absentee daughter more than Octina. Her mother to try to explain to the 2 left children made up a story that debchia was carried off to the far off land of cube where she was made queen of a race of insects called octidebs. and how after Deb gave birth she became a godess. Octina was never quite sure if her mother really believed this or if it was just a fairy story.
Octina grew up a fanciful and romantic girl believing in true love and loving the idea of magic and wonder and wanted children more than anything. Even when her father left her and her mother to be with a vampire lady eventually losing his own avatar and becoming one himself severing all ties with Oct and her mother . She wanted only to beleave good things.In spite of all the things people told her bad stuff happened to other people.
It was no surprize she fell in love hard and fast to the first man to cater to her romantic desires. Sure she would be with him for eternity she gave herself fully to him heart mind and body.....as blind as she was to his horrid temper and jelous nature.

After she married him She grew to be quite pregnant with his child before his true nature was revieled. Somone had told him they saw octina with another man hoping to break the 2 up and he flew into a horrible rage. he attacked her and tore the child from her womb . leaving poor oct for dead broken and bleeding in a field. Seeing the man walking off with her child screaming and bloody in his hands something snapped in her.
Octina Screached in a near inhuman voice filled with her motherly rage and sorrow. The sky darkened and the land turned black with what was to answer her cry. Every insect and arachnid within 3 miles came to her aid Swarming and creeping to deliver the vengence of a mother scorned. the man was dead in a matter of seconds leaving little more than a pile of bones of both the man and the child.
Octina realized the full horror of what she had done realizing the true cost of the magic she had always wanted. She passed unconcious and woke up home with her mother with far more than physical wounds. She wept for days while her mother cared for her. re-enacting the scene over and over. Even when the police dismissed the case as acccidental death she knew better.

Octavia being quite the capible magi herself did her best to repair her daughter's injurys it was a pure shame her specialty was not human anatomy and octina assumes thats why she has her primal marks her avatar took the form of her sister the bug queen part bee part spider after all she was a godess right?
Her primal marks consist of small retractable Arachnid fangs hidden in her cheeks( Not poisonous or large enough to do more than normal teeth), spineretts l near her belly button (look like small bumps around her belly button easily explained by saying they are scars(need magic to use) , some odditys reguarding reproductive organs(she is uncorrectibly sterile) and some small extra eyes on her forehead(look like 6 small moles easily conceiled by bangs ) she looks completly human thanks to her hairstyle and tailored clothing.
She lived 3 years in A small town in georgia, a very hectic 3 years encountering all sorts of supernaturals. After a few vampire encounters she learned if you just pretend to be an ally and keep out of thier business they dont bug you. and they have mind control powers so them not bugging you is good.

In an effort to get her shop added on to she found out her shop contractor was a fallen angel he told her some basic things about his kind so she wouldnt fear him. He died shortly after to a shot by a madman after her and fellow orphins. She tryed to save him from the cobra venom but was not skilled enough. she spent time developing an antitoxin rote so that shed never lose somone to poison again.
She found out the mad man was after a list of orphins around the city. on it Octina was known as the spider. She considered fleeing town but he kidnapped one of her best friends Derek Grusa she recruited all the mages she could find and a few fallen out for revenge to rescue Derek.
To her dismay they did not find derek but they did find another mage that had gone missing cruicified and stilL alive in the basement of the house. out of mersy they shot him then oct noticed the smell of gas and saw the furnace click on she manage to get most the mages out but the demons were stubborn and wouldnt leave due to a little girl orphin mage who was holding the flames at bay. The fallen died in the explotion that resulted when they draged The little girl away in spite of her trying to explain she had to stay.
Thankfully Derek escaped in the confusion after the explotion

Oct tired of losing friends joined the verbena. shed had extensive contact with one of thier chantries this being just the kick she needed to accually join. She then moved to new york in hopes of a new life to her dismay massive earthquakes brought the city down on the eve of her arival she and a few other magi traced the reson down and destroyed him. Finaally she moved to vancouver in hopes that this towsn doesn't crash her would down so that she can once more put down roots.
Octina's Paridigm is a odd mix of Verbena and Euthanatos like elements. She feels in wishing for her husband's death she is at falt and because she took the life with wasteful and selfish intentions. she will never be able to create life from her own flesh. Her magic is controled by creativity/dynamic/life - Sacrifice/Entropic/death. as natureal cycles.
Magic is an Talent driven Art to her a bittersweet gift a tool and priviledge not a right.Most of her foci are either art or bug driven as the obsession with bugs as well as a intence creative instinct runs in the family. .She believes her magic Possibly genetic and definatly related to her lost child. To have a child of one's own flesh is the greatest magic of all. Some powers out there gave her this gift for a reason and probibly can take it back just as easily.

She Dislikes using magic to harm but knows that it is a instinctual primal part of her. and has come to accept killing is permissible if needed to survive but usually come at an unforseen cost so It better have a very good reason.
Creativity the antitisis to sacrifice for her. She usually uses to help prevent waste. everything is used in nature its all part of cycles so if she can use her skills and magic to create things from what would normally not be used or reuse her or make things out of natural and biodegradable sorces she is helping the natural cycles.
She uses craft supplies to see and reweave matter's pattern..
Medicines are useful to manipulate lifes own natural energy..
String is used to help her see and reweave fate and fortune..
A traslucent cloth is used to see and manipulate Spirit realms..
Speech and manipulation proves to be the portal to the mind.
Bug products(wax,honey,silk) as well as her marks are the source of her magic. They provide her with the ability to see and maipulate prime.
