Samuel was sheriff for 20 years in Paoli, IN. Orange County had come from Paoli PA. There was a hotel in Paoli, IN; the US Post Office is on this site today. It is said that two Aunts owned this. Told to me by Lilla Bullington who was a cousin from the John Lindsey line of French Lick, IN. in 1992.

They lived in the KOKOMO Indiana and Paoli, Indiana area. We are related to the Chambers , Lindseys, Bullingtons, and the Butchers who were from Kokomo, IN.

Well this is about all I can tell you about the Dayhuffs.

I have a good bit on the Jonathan LINDSEY, from NC to IN. Patriot Index... of American Revolution who was Mary Chamber's Father. In addition, Daniel’s second wife, was my ggggrandfather

Limited on Butchers and Chambers. However at this time I am trying to connect the Dayhuff family. The others will come later.

I have a charcoal picture of a Richard Dayhuff. When we disassembled my parents home in 1992 dad and I stood out in the Garage till the wee hours of the morning writing the names on the back of pictures. Therefore, we have this and within the year, he could not remember anything. I was so glad we had done this before the Library closed.

Now it is up to us to connect all of the Dayhuffs across the country. It is going to be fun.
