That's Entertainment!

All Work and No Play make Vlad a dull boy indeed, especially considering the time spent in front of this monitor - I try to see as many films as I can afford, though I'm often lowered to renting the videos instead, but I do find time away from the books long enough to turn on the Devil Box and see what's on (besides the Ballgame, that is); here are some of the places I head the remote to:

The Arts and Entertainment Networkaemain justifies cable TV all by itself - where I'd be without those 'Law and Order' reruns I couldn't tell you.

The Discovery Channel makes me sit still and take notes!

Histchannel The History Channel - I am a Historian when time allows..
But when I want to get really cerebral, nothing beats Comedy Central

Turner Broadcasting lets you play Follow the $$$ Oh Jaaaane!

And there is always MTV mtv2 , dude.

For the kid in all of us it is difficult to beat The Disney Page disney.

seussv Have a chat with the Cat in the Hat when you visit Seussville!

Or for the investor in us, there's also WB Warner Brothers,
Or Sony Online.

And for a full roundup of the Entertainment Scene, nobody is quite on top of things like Mr. Showbiz!

The thing of it is, though, that I'm a Radio Guy, with a couple of decades behind the mike: this leads to an appreciation of the days when the pictures were in your head, and I'm happy to say there's at least one place among many to rediscover it:

Radio DaysRadio - gone but never forgotten!

When I was in college though, some clever minds were using Old Radio in very New Ways: Don't Crush That Dwarf, Hand Me Jerry's Firesign Theatre Page!

For something in a class by itself, try The National Geographic Online MotherEarth.

I'll leave you for the time being with a connection to one of my favorite musical groups, Scotland's own Battlefield Band.Standrew
