Shooter

Bio

 Shooter was the final boy and the final pup, born about 15 minutes after Copper, at 3:26 am on December 17, 2001. 

He grew up with his 4 brothers and 1 sister in the kitchen whelping pen outside of Raleigh, NC.

Shooter was always one of Maggie's "big boys" and was a champion eater.  Be was also just the sweetest guy.  One time we tried to record the little squeaks the pups would make before their eyes had opened.  We brought Shooter into the other room apart from his siblings and away from his mom.  We were certain he would cry out and complain.  However, Shooter just snuggled, and was silent.

We knew him as "red" and naturally as "Big red" because the name worked.  At times we almost wished he didn't find a home so we would have to bring him home with us.  We didn't get to meet his new owners and hope (as with all of you) that we will get together when we all take some time.

although he is not old enough...dare I guess Southern Comfort?

Shooter may not know it, but he has a distant relative name Chivas.
