Copper

Bio

Copper was born 5th, about 2 1/2 hours after Max, at 3:11 am on December 17, 2001.  He was nice enough to give his mom a long breather before he was finally ready to come out.

He grew up with his 4 brothers and 1 sister in the kitchen whelping pen outside of Raleigh, NC.

In the beginning, Copper was one of the "little boys" and so we doted on him.  There is just something about the smaller guys in the litter being even cuter, even if he was often only 1 or 2 ounces smaller!

His first collar was Yellow by chance, but that and his slightly smaller size stuck him with the nicknames of, "yellow" and "little yellow" depending on how cute he was being at the time.

Good bye was especially tough  in Copper's case, maybe it was the happy look in his eyes as he was squeezed by his new family, complete with kids!.

Anyway, for some reason Copper was the most tearful good bye (perhaps it was the look of understanding that  to Jeanine and Andrea shared over the love a dog).

Take a good look at the bait, maybe there is a reason that Copper's face is all wrinkled up;
