THE DELAWARE COUNTY DIGITAL IMAGES are genealogy golden nuggets. They are filled with information about deaths, cemetery records, newspaper obituaries, wills and court records.   The link to the Index page provides the option of searching for a surname, full name, or a type of record. Using just the surname search will provide a list of all available records for that spelling. 

SEARCH BY NAME TO LOCATE ALL TYPES OF RECORDS

Example:  DRAGOO – Thirty (30)  burials in the Beech Grove Cemetery; 49 funeral home records; 12 obituaries, 20 entries for Wills and 448 court records, from witness to defendant, non payment of debt, real estate/land and probate.

Click on the green dot to the left of the name and an Application/Xtender screen stating “Server is processing request,”  and a  job number will be shown.  The speed of access will depend on computers - yours and their system. 

FUNERAL HOME RECORDS

Search by the name of the person or by the name and the specific funeral home.

The digital images usually include the actual copy of the transaction. The records may include a copy of the obituary.   Document any sources shown for future reference and/or print a copy of the document.   

OBITUARIES

If the document or item does not open, other instructions may appear.

WILLS

The list of names identifies the person as Testator, Child, Witness or Other.

COURT RECORDS

Click on the green dot to open page one of the document.  The Application/ Xtender search may take several seconds.  The pages may appear sideways, upside down or even backwards.   Use the tools at the top of the image to rotate, reverse or align for easier reading.  Read or glance at all the pages and print as needed or save as a document or photo image.  If the image does not print, open “page” at the top of the screen and go to “Printer Friendly View.”  Use your printer set up to adjust the size of the document and layout.
