Viola Parsons and Violet Moore have published a book about their growing up years in Chowchilla, Madera Co., California - from first memories to marriage.  The stories are humorous and nostalgic.

“There are two sides to every story, especially for identical twins.  Viola and Violet reminisce about being born in a tent in the Arizona desert in the depression, growing up in Chowchilla, California, as toddlers in World War II and teens during the Happy Days.

Viola holds a certificate in genealogy and has published a family history book.  Violet writes devotions for women for a national website and has edited for other authors.  Both twins have been newsletter editors and currently post family websites. In addition to writing, Viola teaches genealogy, Violet is an amateur florist, and both are active in their church and community.”

This is a 5¾” x 8¾” paperback book with a full color laminated wrap around cover.  There are 154 pages which include black & white photos from age two weeks to brides at age 20.  This is not a genealogy book, except for the story “If I Had A Grandchild”, which is a walk through the Chowchilla Cemetery where our parents, five siblings and other relatives are buried.
