THREE CARR BROTHERS
SONS OF
JOHN J. CARR & TELLITHA E. HUSSONG

William Morgan, James Austin & Joseph Mae were all sons of John J. CARR & Tellitha E. HUSSONG.  They were all raised together, but sometime after they married and had families, they went their separate ways.

John Ewing Carr, son of James Austin lived until 1953 and he never mentioned any of his Father's brothers or sisters.  A record of of them was found during a 1993 research visit to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.

1863 - 1944

James Austin Carr was born October 10, 1863 in either Iowa or Nebraska. Some researchers show his year of birth as 1868.  That happened during transcription of a badly worn document.    He was always called by his middle name, which is spelled Auston and Austin.  On the 1880 Barry County, Missouri census, he is shown by his first name of James.  He married Almeda Elizabeth Ewing on December 5, 1884 in Barry County, Missouri.   She was born November 19, 1865 in Three Forks, Gallatin County, Montana.  Her parents were Anderson Shaffer Ewing and Exile Liberty Parker.  Almeda died April 16,1902 near Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Her grave has not been located.

Auston Carr married Lena Josie Ann Rivers and they spent their last days in the small town of Blanco, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma.  He died August 8, 1944 at home in Blanco and Lena died October 7, 1947 in the nearby town of Kiowa.  They are buried side by side in the Blanco Cemetery.
