about 1839 in Missouri. William then married Charlotte WILLIAMS. Their marriage is recorded in the book Missouri Marriages
before 1850.
William HILL to Charlotte WILLIAMS
19 July 1840 - Jefferson County, Missouri
William and Charlotte had four children:
Benjamin F. HILL, born in 1844 in Missouri
Martha M. A. HILL (married Isaiah HAMBY)
Margaret J. HILL, born about 1849 in Missouri
Rucia C. HILL, born about 1852 in Missouri
Martha M. A. HILL has been featured in previous newsletters.
She and Isaiah HAMBY had a son,
George Washington HAMBY born 14 Oct 1866.
Martha died before 1870.
In 1870 George HAMBY, age 4, was living with his Aunt Salinda
America (HILL) WRIGHT in Webster Co., MO.
By 1880 he was shown with the surname of WRIGHT and continued
to use that name from that time forward.

Died 02 Sep 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri
He was a private in the Army and is
buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery
near St. Louis, MO.
His death certificate states that his parents
were William & Charlotte HILL.
Benjamin was married twice. His first wife was Nannie BAY. She was
the mother of their five sons and one daughter:
Melvin J., Benjamin Allen, William C.,
Spencer N., Frank and Elsie
In 1910, Benjamin and Loula, (wife #2) were living at 4701 Oldenburg
Avenue, St Louis, Missouri.
They had been married for 8 years.

Vivian Gertrude HILL (1902-25 Dec 1966)
Lillian Grace HILL (1908 or 1909 - 19 Jan 1977)
