We knows violet wands. We have been manufacturing violet wands since 1997, and working with them and repairing them for longer. Safety is an important issue, and you can be assured that our violet wands must pass our nine-point checklist before leaving our hands. We know what we sell and our customer service does not end with your purchase. We are a source for techniques, information on safety and care, and any other question you may have about your violet wand.

Please read our necessary Legal Disclaimer before making your final purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About US

About US About Our Wands Customer Service

About Violetwanda, LLC

What should I know about your company?
There are only 2 violet wand manufacturing parent companies in the world. We are one of those two, and the other is Rupert Huse and Son. All other sellers of violet wands are distributors, middlemen, re-marketers, retailers or resellers. We are also the only violet wand parent company to manufacture its own electrodes.

Where do you ship?
We ships worldwide. Please be aware that a small number of certain countries have credit card restrictions due to the high frequency of credit card fraud originating from those countries; customers from those countries will require a bank wire transfer as payment.

Are your items under warranty?
ALL of our items are under warranty, and we offer LIFETIME repair services on our wands as part of our warranty.

Who are you?
This is our second violet wand manufacturing company. Violetwanda LLC is a sole proprietorship limited liability company with two full-time and two part-time employees, as well as one apprentice on site. We also own Mjolnir Advanced Violet Wand Systems for the advanced violet wand user. In the field, we have 1 energetic partner/beta-tester and 5 repair persons in the US, Europe, Australia and the UK. And we can't neglect to mention our fellow Guild members, Certified Violet Wand Demonstrators and Master Violet Wand Instructors.

Why do you call yourself a BDSM business?
The obvious answer is that we market BDSM 'toys', but that's not totally the case. In an age of modern technology when fast pace and profit have won out over hand-forged quality and art, we strive to maintain a different paradigm under BDSM philosophy, and to retain business values which have long been lost in today's world. Working with violet wands is a craft. We are committed to passing along the torch of that craft and in the past have certified both journeyman demonstrators and Master instructors under a guild program to share knowledge and maintain levels of safety. The certification program grew until it became its own independent entity, the International Violet Wand Guild.

In addition to the guild certification program, we currently have one in-house apprentice who is beginning his years-long learning of violet wands from the ground up, and he has to learn to hand make authentic parts before he can ever touch a manufactured part for 'convenience.' Through these means we can help keep the electric flame alive in the same manner as trade craftsmen in the past have done in handing down their knowledge.

In addition, because of our BDSM business philosophy which coincides with our lifestyle philosophies, our quality is unsurpassed, and our exceptional warrantees reflect our confidence in our art. In this modern era where large-scale companies can pull mass-produced items made in Taiwan from stock bins and ship overnight, we still believe in an old-fashioned attention to detail that pays respect to those who will be using our wands.

Do you pay taxes?
Doesn't everybody? We pay pass-through income taxes as a legal business, and state sales tax. We also pay vendor or short term sales taxes wherever we set up out of our home state

About Our Violet Wands

If your violet wands are relatively safe, why do you carry a disclaimer?
Unfortunately, in this litigious (prone to lawsuits) society, it's necessary. Safety is always an issue in BDSM, and like all toys, a violetwand can cause injury if used improperly, or through accident. Becoming knowledgeable about your wand and other toys will prevent mishaps. We can't play 100% safe in BDSM, but we can play SAFER.

What is better about your wands?
If you've tried comparison shopping for wands, then you already know that we have more kit for the money, and far more quality. This is because we are a parent company and not a middleman, retailer, or other distributor who is re-selling violet wands as part of a large variety of items. Violet wands, wand accessories and wand electrodes are our ONLY product and any other items we offer are strictly for the added convenience of our customers.

Our warranties are the best in the business. Ask any other wand seller about their warranty. We are so confident of our product, that we have even been known to transfer our warranties when our wands are resold! So, if you have purchased one of our violet wands second hand, ask us if it is possible to transfer the warranty to you.

Customer Service

Why should I buy my violetwand from you?
We know violetwands. We are the largest dealer/manufacturer of new violet wands in North America, and one of the few that distribute all available types, anywhere in the world. We're the only violet wand manufacturer that manufacturers their own electrodes, making them sepcifically for kinky play and not the fragile glass electrodes used for the beauty industry. Our new wands are the most state of the art available. That's why we can offer lifetime repair services as part of our warrantees! And our customer service does NOT stop with the sale.. See our Customer Service Policy for more information.

Why do you take longer than other companies do, to ship items?
We ship once per week on a first come first served basis to be most fair to all customers. Part of the reason for this slower pace is described under our BDSM business philosophy above. But the rest of the reason is sheer practicality; there are very few people who can do what we do and do it well. We can't just hire anyone off the street to start blowing electrodes, for example, as that is an art and a craft that can take years to master. Thus our business pace is also related to the small number of staff artisans that we can encompass. We will not and can not rush our processes or compromise our quality either for profit or customer impatience. Please understand this BEFORE you buy.

I've been thinking about getting an old violet ray device from a flea market. Can you rewire it for me?
We strongly advise against purchasing an old violet ray unless you are adequately able to judge the condition of its wiring, and replace all wiring if necessary. Wiring that is in poor condition could potentially be deadly. You would not trust an 80-year old lamp with original wiring, so please be cautious with a 80 year old electrical appliance you are going to use on another person. Before making your purchase, find out how the machine has been stored; moldering in someone's damp basement or deteriorating in a hot attic will cause damage to internal components. Another thing to watch for is visible rust or corrosion; if metal on the outside is corroded or rusted, the metal on the inside will likely also be in the same condition and malfunction, making it risky. Unfortunately, we can only make repairs for our own wand customers.

Will your violetwands work outside the US?
If you are purchasing a vintage violet wand for use outside the US, we will provide you with the appropriate current converter at the manufacturer's cost. New wands are available in foreign currents and plugs.

Do you ship items overseas?
Yes, but shipping and handling costs are higher. You can use your credit card and purchase through the shopping cart normally. Special NOTE: While we sometimes violet wands in stock made specifically for European current, we also carry the appropriate transformers that will enable ANY violet wand we sell to be used in Europe.

Ok, I bought one of your wands before, but I want to upgrade now. Will you buy this one back?
Well, you won't have any trouble selling your wand to someone else at a reasonable price, I assure you..these are, after all, the Rolls Royces of electrical toys. In many cases we will transfer our warranty to your secondhand buyer, and that should definitely help you out with resale! (Imagine transferring the warranty on your car to another buyer, or the warranty on your computer if you sell it.) But yes, we do have a limited and conditional buyback policy for our violetwands. Contact us for more information when you're ready.
