Care of Violet Wands

Your wand should last indefinitely with proper care. While they require little to no maintenance, a few simple tips will keep them operating and providing you with many hours of enjoyment.

Keep the wand from getting wet

IMPORTANT: Insert probes into the wand unit with a straight motion. Do NOT twist, as this will loosen the contacts

Electrodes may be cleaned with warm soapy water, or even scalded with boiling water if they need to be sterilized. The metal endcap of the electrodes may tarnish. A light polishing from time to time will keep them shiny

Clean the exterior of the wand with a soft cloth. A buffing compound can be used to remove scratches

Use of a surge protector to protect your wand from electrical spikes is advised

If you purchase a vintage single piece unit, watch your wand to be sure it doesn't overheat. Use only for the recommended amount of time. Overheating will cause the wand to lose power permanently over time

Do not store in areas of excessive heat (such as near radiators or baseboards or in attics), or in damp areas such as basements, or you risk deterioration of the electrical coils.
