Family History
Why do we invest hours, perhaps years, in
researching family roots? There seems to be a vacancy in each of us that presses us to know about our family. It begins with
a curiosity or question. A "Why-do-I-have-red-hair-and-my-parents-don't?" type question. The search might begin
with a need to establish genetic medical history. Results are rarely instantaneous unless someone else has established
the family ancestry. Searching may be time consuming and difficult. If you really want to know your family history, become
a candidate for public office. Someone else will do your work for you, turning every historical page, locating every grave
marker and searching for skeletons in the closet!
