The Tortuga Music
Special Projects Label

Launched in June, 1999 as a new division of Tortuga Music, the Special Projects Label focuses upon the archival, restoration and / or mastering of privately owned recordings from outside of the normal Tortuga Music artists roster. Although the label itself may appear deceptively modest, these selectively chosen projects are either of such antiquity and rarity as to merit full restoration or simple archival is employed as a means of extending the life of the recordings. This work actually began a full year prior to the advent of the new division, with the Sande Sings and the Bette, Marilyn and Vera projects.
Information about works in progress for either Tortuga label may be found on the Future Projects Page.
