For over 15 years, Hancock has covered state and local news for print and radio.
In Sacramento, he reported on state politics daily for public radio. He’s also covered community issues such as housing, the arts and the environment for Interlochen Public Radio. As a freelancer, he covered the Tondu coal plant proposal in Manistee and dug into the process of electing judges. He’s also written a variety of general interest stories for the Traverse City Record-Eagle and the Northern Express.
Hancock is co-editor of the Three Pines Gander, a small monthly publication covering Bear Lake. He also serves as Sound Designer for the Benzie County Players and the Manistee Civic Players.
Side projects include the “Chronicles of William Hone” website and special event productions.
Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Hancock now resides in Bear Lake, Michigan.
