Playoff Round #1
By identical 7-5 scores the fourth and third seeds knock off the
first and second seeds, respectively, to advance to the final next week. Team #2 will be playing Team #6 for the
championship. No schedule is posted but they will have the first three tee times.
The limericks are posted on the site. See the link to the left for "2009 Limericks"
Rounds O' the Day: I wasn't going to post this because
only a subset of golfers are in the playoffs but Elmer's and Smitty's 35s should be mentioned!
Quote O' the Day: (My pick for quote of the year!)
Bubby (as a courtesy, on the first tee): "Age before beauty, Skip."
Vic: "Bubby, what happens, if someone is old AND good looking?"
Skip: "Yeah... NOW what do I do?"

Week #20 Results
Team #5 wins the regular season by ONE point! CONGRATULATIONS!
In the first playoff round, they will play 4th place Team #6, who earned only one point but squeeked in by a tie-breaker.
Second place Team #3 will play 3rd place Team #2. See the schedule in the Weekly Matches. League Standings are
final and the Team Rosters are updated with the final averages.
Someone asked what happens in a playoff tie. The tie breaker is total of all scores relative
to the total averages of the team.
We haven't discussed it but there is an extra week before the outing. I assume any playoff
rain out will just be scheduled for the following Friday.
The 6 total-points winners are: 31-Hatch, 29-Ed, 28-Vic, 27-Frank, 26-Chuck and
Hot Dog. All six leaders from last week won, giving nobody else a chance to catch up.
Rounds O' the Day: 37-Frank, 38-Vic, 39-Butch
Limericks: For those of you, who are interested, I have a pamphlet prepared with all the
limericks. They will be emailed, as well.
Quote O' the Day:
Elmer (watching Nick wander around the rough, looking for his ball): "This is the guy, who shot
a 34?"
Vic: "He can shoot a 34 and he can shoot a 50."
Elmer: "Sounds like me! ...except the 34 part!"

Week #19 Results
UPDATE: The golfout described below has been
applied! Team #5 leads by ONE point! See the "League Standings."
Ok, here's the problem... Team #5 is still two points ahead of
Team #3 but that's not what was figured out at the course. The problem is that there was supposed to be a golf-out (between
Yunko Jr and Smitty) but nobody had a card, nobody gave me a card, and there was no card
in the box... so the match is a tie of two no-shows. If anybody wants the situation fixed, the ball is in your court.
Teams 2 and 6 maintain their positions with Team #4 lurking. Team #1 had ONE golfer present. Nate and
Bob Agosti both gained a point!
The current 6 total-points leaders are: 29-Hatch, 27-Ed, 26-Vic, 25-Frank, 24-Chuck
and Hot Dog. The first 4 are guaranteed at least a tie for the top 6. The only others in contention are 23-Dave
D,
22-Rusak, Russo, and Skip.
Rounds O' the Day: 36-Rusak, 37-Brian and Frank, 38-Vic and Butch
Limerick O' the Day #7:
There once was a golfer named Frank,
who can give the ball a good spank.
Now, this might sound funny
but he takes our money
and runs with it straight to the bank!
(The remainder to be read after the Champs and Playoff Teams are announced, next Friday.)
Quote O' the Day:
"il et finis!"
